Food, Movement & Health

food is mood

The food we put in our mouths can deeply affect our mood and, when it’s good, can raise the quality of our thoughts and feelings.

movement is improvement

When we bring good, natural movement and breathing to our bodies, based on wise yoga practices, we improve our whole system, from our posture to our peace of mind. We flow. We even fly.

health is wealth

Achieving great or greater health is a true and more important form of wealth today. It’s nothing money alone can buy, but it’s a richness good yoga and eating can bring to you.

everything is food

There are primary foods: our relationships, career paths, spirit lives, home environments and physical activities.

And secondary foods: everything we put into our mouths.

This was a revelation from my first Rasa Yoga teacher training. It’s a guiding Ayurvedic principle: that illness and unwellness,  show up in the body when we have undigested “food” of any kind in our systems, whether it’s literal, psychic, emotional or experiential.

You can eat all the fresh greens in the world, but if you dislike your job, or you’re chronically stressed or depressed, those nutrients aren’t going to be as beneficial. The work we do together helps you better process, “digest” and integrate all the “food” in your daily life.

everything is connected

Body, mind and spirit. Sometimes this connection is weak, unfelt or out of synch. The stronger and clearer it is, the more you engage and enjoy your everyday life and experience. I help people find, feel and vitalize this essential three-way connection.
